‘Robert (Bob) George Cordery actually appeared in the film ‘Nineteen Eighty-Four’ (1984 - starring John Hurt (Winston Smith), Richard Burton (O‘Brien), Suzanna Hamilton (Julia)...). He was an extra (non-speaking role) in some of the crowd scenes. These included: — The title sequences at the beginning of the film; — The daily ‘hate’; — The execution of Eurasian prisoners; — The pub scene when Winston goes to the prole area....’
